Bored = Carbon fibre door sills

Yes I was bored and so I thought Ild get some door sills.
Didnt want to part with "dealer parts" money so went for my own custom sills:

So what do you all think?!

Thanks for all your replies, Im glad you all like them!

The sills are very well made, brillant finish to them. Pics just dont do it justice!

I had them made from real carbon fibre you can contact Ste-LFC on this forum to get a discounted price, and I bought the "cupra" vinyl from thevinylstore.com

I think the length is just about right, and I couldnt make them any wider as you could seem them with the door closed otherwise.

All in all they cost me £32 delivered, which is not too bad seeing as £6 was delivery for the sills and the vinyl.

They are 40x500mm 2x2 twill with 2mm radius corners.

Martin from Fibre-lite is a nice guy. Ordered several carbon chainrings (for high end race cycles) and he can do magic with carbon.

How did you fix them to the sills? Double sided tape?

Yep double sided tape, stuck on pretty well...
