How do all,

Well, il get straight to the point!

2500k revs, 1st gear, let off the pedal quick, and wow, i think my engines fallen out!!

The jerk and feel is not nice. Now i understand this a common thing on some cars, but what about the Leon? Admittedly iv got dog bone fitted so moving at speed the jerk and the power delivery is better (even for a 1.6)

Is this purely a leon thing, or early warning to get some engine mounts?

Cheers

Yeh, erm..........well i think so! all bolts were torqued up correctly havent checked lately tho!

Just been out to have a look and if you move the engine by hand (as in rocking it) the RH mount appears to be very soft. Might invest in one, i think they are about 30 spondoolies.

Dude if your planning on going for the supercharger project you have mentioned you better get uprated engine mounts in there.
Look at the INA section, hes arranging a GB just now, perfect timing.
If they are on their way out you really really want to get onto it ASAP.
You could get off lightly if it goes but there was a guy on here that it cost about £600 to get it all sorted
you'd have more problem fitting the DBM the wrong way than you would the right way

To be onest, supercharging is off, iv done some serious research, put some realistic costs together and it aint happening.

Il try GSF for a RH mount, as this is the one with the most play

Im guessing this part comes as a unit, metal casing and all?

Block of wood, jack engine up, release mount, replace and drop? (obviously all torqued correctly)

Right well, im gonna dig up my old thread, as i believe this to be rearing its head again, letting off the pedal gives a jerk, worse at lower revs, also setting off in traffic with minimal revs can cause the bouncy jerk and make me look like a learner!!

Now, i replaced the gearbox side engine mount, have a dog bone fitted, is this normal?
