Brake Calipers

Hi guys, done searches for painting of them. Just would like feedback and opinions on what colour to paint them on MY03 Platinum grey LC.

I did mine in shiny black - used epoxy caliper paint as opposed to hammerite but got it at a good price from motorserv ( cheers mike )

I have an Ovni, will paint all my 4 calipers different colours this weekend and see which one is best, colours are:

black
yellow
red
silver

dont get caliper paint get hamerite from b&q.

ps i wont be driving anywhere with multi-colour calipers!!

Haha, would be funny though!! Maybe I could get a dumpvalve and some neons also, have a chav weekend!!

Would you use a specific type of Hammerite paint? i.e. is it the Metal paint and does it have to be the one that can take High heat?

Hammerite will do the job, cant imagine the calipers getting THAT hot, its mainly pads and discs innit?

Toying with the idea myself, unfortunately cant find any photo's.

Also, there wont be a match, closest I have found is Canary Yellow.

£5 a tin, B&Q or any hardware dealer, or you can pay £15 from a car shop for special caliper paint, which is the same thing, choice is yours!!

Hammerite metal paint. I say Hammerite specifically as you dont need to use a primer, just give a rub down with sand paper / wire brush etc

My mate has got a platinum grey Leon Fr+ and he has painted his calipers gold I think, I will try and post a pic when I see him on monday.
I used Hammerite smooth in letter box red on my Ibiza.
