Hi there

I’m sure this has been discussed before, but the information is very confusing.

I have a 2018 Seat Ibiza. I’m looking to change the brake discs/brake pads. But for some reason, it’s impossible to find out online what size brake pads I need.

I think I need 256mm, but it could also be 276mm. I just need some clarity on which.

I’ve checked everywhere for the information but I see conflicting things. I know the different engine sizes can tell, but I don’t have this information.

On my invoice for my MOT, the Make/Model is listed as: Seat Ibiza SE TSI.

The sales model is KJ12CV.

But this doesn’t give me any information as to the engine size or the specificities of the car.

For reference, this is my wife’s car and I wasn’t there when it was bought, hence why I don’t know.

I know I can measure the discs or look through the calipers, but I just want specific information that tells me what the discs are, as to remove any possibility of human error before I purchase the discs and pads.

I called the local Seat dealership but they seemed really perturbed by this question and still haven’t got back to me yet. I find it really weird that nobody seems to have the information. I asked them to just ask the mechanic, but they still haven’t got back to me.

If anyone can help that would be great. Apologies if this has been before!

Thank you!
