brake discs

silly question but im due to change me brake disc and was wondering how do i know what size they are? can any body tell me?

Either 288x25mm or 312x25mm. Just a quick measure will tell you after that.

On ETKA your Discs are reported as 288x12mm though I have seen ETKA report this wrong in the past.

my bad.. yours are 25mm thick, I would however measure them if possible ETKA has been known to be wrong in the past regarding Brake details.

Rear discs are unvented and are one of three possible sizes. 255x10mm, 286x12mm, or 260x12mm. Measure the diameter of your existing discs and match them to these dimensions.

255x10mm shows up in etka for your XL.

cheers, thanks, wheres the best place to buy them from? ive found a site that is quoting £60 for both discs and both sets of pads, is this an ok price? they are all standard parts,

I personally get my stuff from David @ Seremotors (he's on the forums) but I live local to him TPS is pretty hard to beat for Genuine parts.

mine's the one for £20.99, had mine over 8 years now and it does all VAG cars afaik.

you may find that a local TPS maybe cheaper since you have to incur a postage from NI and dont forget Discs are heavy!

Darlington Motor Factors up North Road could well be cheaper but the quality of the parts isn't too good.
