Hi all,
I'm having a meltdown this morning, so if anyone can offer their expertise as to what I do next, I'd be very grateful.
Against my better judgement (& I did have a sleepless nights worrying about this decision), I put my car in with a local garage opposite my OH work. Used to live by the mechanic, so thought may be I should try him out.
Had brake lines replaced, braided & front to back.
Got told to collect on Friday & within 15 mins, brakes seized on. Luckily I was almost home so managed to pull into drive with smoking front brakes.
Phoned mechanic who insisted it was the calipers needed replacement (certainly not my thoughts considering they were perfect & it's the lines that have been replaced.) worse still, I left it over the weekend, too pissed off to deal with it if I'm honest. Now pedal goes flat to the floor, air whooshing out of pedal, no braking system except handbrake & foam falling out of pedal in clumps. I have never had any issues with my braking system ever, they are maintained, but now, thanks to my stupidity I have got a fkd car, no doubt host of probs from air leaks, master cylinder & a mech who as of last week is now on paternity leave. He said he'd fix it, but i don't want him fking everything else up as he goes.
What do I do peeps? I'm actually stressed out over this & my MOT is early October.
I do have a trusted garage who I've always used, but I'm basically going to be shelling out all over again & the bloke should fix what he hasn't done correctly.
There are no fluid leaks, reservoir is full & unchanged.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
