Something strange is going on with my car...

For some unknown reason my rear brake lights are staying on (as if brake pedal is being pressed constantly). This only happens when I switch my headlights on, no issues when sidelights are on. The high level brake light still works as expected.

Obviously I can't drive around like this and wondered if anybody else has had this problem before or knows of a fix? Thanks for your help.

Wrong bulbs mate in the rear, happened to me, every time I put my light on the rear brake light stayed on plus the car lost power also, change the bulbs mate that should sort the problem.

Also, try turning the bulbs around, if the pin for the brake light is on the connection for your tail lights then you will have constant brake lights on when you turn on your main lights! But as big john said, make sure they are the right bulbs, you need the brake light and tail light intergrated bulbs!

Yeh try what slims said, also there is two types of bulbs there one and two pins, make sure u have the correct ones in, try all above also. Let us know how u get on
