Hi

hoping somone can shed some light

got the usual brake pad wear indicator light on and beep.

Had a friend look at it expecting to be able to splice the ends of the cable together and make it all go away, nope.

Problem we have is the cable - on the car NOT the pads - is perished. It was pretty much turning to mush when we tried to twist the wires together right up into the wheel arch.

So, guess my question is - where does this cable connect in the engine bay and what to?
Also, does anyone have a part number for this brake wear cable??

Any help much appreciated

I know VAGcom could turn it off on the dash but I dont know anyone with VAGcom :/

You can install VMware on win 8, and install windows XP on the virtual pc. That's how I use my VAG-COM with my win 7 laptop.
