Brakes

I own a toledo 2.0 tdi sport 140 and my OEM disks and pads need a swap after 24k (not too bad). Anyway I am looking at non OEM brake disks and pads brembo, AP racing, Tarox, ferodo, green stuff etc. I need some suggestions please, The car will have 170bhp at some point so what ever I put on must be able to handle the power increase. thanks in advance for the help.

up grade from 288 discs to 312mm. you just need the carriers and discs, the caliper is the same.
brembos are 345mm and you'll need 18 wheels to fit over.

Do you have the part numbers for the carriers??. Also will they fit underneth the the standard 16" alloys??.. What I was thinking of doing is buying the standard size but better quality disks, thoughts please many thanks.

does the 170 have better brakes than a 140 ?

The 140 uses 288mm disks and the 170 (FR) uses 312mm disks. They use the same calipers but different carriers. Not sure if the 312mm will fit behind the 16" alloys and I have a feeling the answer is a no but wanted to find out for deff. Apart from that looking for advice on the best disk / pad combination I believe ferodo FR2500 pads are used any thoughts??..
