break disks

when viewing my car i noticed each disk was scored! not smooth, im buying from ted johnson and they said they are cleaning them up and reckon a stone has got into them at some point! if they are scored, dont they need replacing? they say not!! is this to save money, or are they allowed to sell if they are scored?

I wouldn't worry too much, they are a little uneven on my a3. the pads bed themselves to the shape of the disc, you can change them if you want but I wouldn't worry too much, others might say differently though.

Are these the ones that you dip in your coffee at break time, or do you mean BRAKE discs?

I was rushed at work LOL, what would you do then?

A small amount of scoring on the discs is fine, if they are rippled or worn to the point of a lip on the outside edge any more than 1mm they need to be replaced IMO.
