Hey, done a lot of searching of the forums for answers i'm after but can't find what i'm after. I have a Leon Cupra TDi 150, i want to fit LCR brembo calipers. I have LCR 18" alloys already fitted. Will the LCR brembos fit my leon tdi 150 with the 18" LCR alloys and if so is there anything else i would need to purchase to be able to fit them. I have the calipers, pads, discs, carriers and back plates. Would i need to replace the standard brake hoses. All in all just to simplify i have a Leon Cupra TDi 150 with 18" LCR alloys fitted will LCR brembos fit my car?

No they wont fit, you should give them to me ;)
Seriously - I would think so, maybe you will need the hoses as well, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will confirm as its something I'm considering too..

What was your intentions with the rear brakes, upgrades or just painting?

Well my original idea was to fit cupra r brembos and discs at the front and cupra r rear calipers and discs on the back as well. I didnt want it to look like I was trying to make it look like a cupra r when it isnt so I had planned to paint both sets of calipers black with silver brembo logos on the front calipers only.

sorry..... but you dont want it to "look like a cupra r"? to the untrained eye the PD150 diesels are cupra r's. no one ever has noticed mines a diesel :cartman:
the brembos should of been standard fit on the PD150!!!

you shouldn't worry what others think, your not doing it for them are you? your making the car safer fitting better brakes, dont be worrying what others think just because the brakes will be red!

well back on topic, i'm getting porker fronts fitted this weekend (fingers crossed all goes well), re the rear brakes im keeping them standard. mooching on the forums there's not much point upgrading the rears.

They will fit but you'll have to change the flexis as already sugested, you can get a front and rear goodridge braided hose kit off ebay for £50ish.

I've just upgraded mine from the 288mm on the front to 312s. i priced up several types of conversion and they were as follows

Cupra brembos:£300 - discs and pads, £400ish for the calipers with carriers (2nd hand) and £50 for the hoses - £750

Porsche boxster calipers diy - calipers £400 new, £250 carriers and hoses, £250 discs, £50 pads - £950

Awesome ready to fit kit - everything as above - £1200+vat

312mm kit - £125 carriers, £90 driller grooved discs, £50 pads (you can use your existing calipers) - £265

So at the moment i've gone for the 312s.

A 256mm rear upgrade would be relativley cheap providing you could source a set of cheap cupra R rear calipers and carriers.

I know what you mean, but what I meant was I dont want to make it look exactly like a cuprar to the trained eyes we have on here, rather something that looks like a cuprar to the untrained eye but is more how I want it to look for me. I hope that makes sense but I've had a beer so it probably doesnt.

Absolutely agree on this one, would have saved us all a few quid.

I'm not worrying about what others think, more along the lines of what I like as I've never been a fan of red calipers, wheels, trim etc on any car.

Its just the way I want it to look.

No disrespect to anyone who likes red - each to their own :D

Not having much luck with the 150 at the mo. Got front end damage from some **** running into it, while got opportunity and reason for bodywork repair gonna get LCR front bumper fitted. Repair costs running into £2200, bent bonnet, sprained bumper, knackered headlights, possible bent bracing bar and top bar. Also while cleaning this afternoon found screw in offside rear tyre, so that was £85 for new Falken tyre. Money, money, money.

Couldn't you have claimed on insurance for the damage?
