Looking for an iPhone in-car mounting solution and narrowed it down to the Macally cup holder and a Brodit Proclip/Active holder.

I've seen a couple of you have installed the Brodit centre mount, but has anyone installed the RIGHT-HAND version?

I'd be interested to know if there enough room for the phone to slip in and out (looks very limited to me)? Does it end up in front of the vent (not good)?

Thanks
Scott

I thought about getting one but ended up just using a cheap windscreen mount of eBay as the Brodit solution is quite expensive. Think there are some pictures floating around on the forum somewhere of the Brodit installed.

EDIT: Found some pics here but installed on the central vents http://imageshack.us/g/845/dscf1449h.jpg/

It IS expensive really but I can't be faffed with the pluging in wires thing. I've seen pics of the centre mount on here, but not the right-hand version.

just this minute finished fitting one into my car haha. don't have a pic yet, I am trying to fit an ipod adapter with the stereo but it won't work with the piece of crap stereo. I'll see if i can get some pictures. don't have the holder attached yet but once the holder is attached to the clip it is going to obscure half of the air vent by the looks of it. also it seems like it will be a tight fit sliding an ipod/iphone in and out.

I'd appreciate some pics if you can. Did you get an Active or Passive holder? Just wondering how you got on with hiding the cables.

i have the a few pics mate but the forum wont let me post them as i dont have enough posts. would be happy to email them. i have an active one mate but as you will see from the pics i don't have the cable in yet as the ipod adapter i bought doesn't work with these silly stereos. seems you can't buy one for love nor money so i'm resigned to using the AUX port. can't see the wires being much of a problem i'm just going to tuck mine straight into the gap between the steering wheel and the dash. half of the air vent is covered up just depends if that bothers you or not.
