Was it Ron Perry's that said it needed a new ECU?

yeah it was, and they nearly cost me £250/£300, so i'm not happy.

car has been faultless today when i took it for a drive. the water temp is still dropping/climbing randomly, but will get a new sender as the garage didn't even do that for me like i asked

can you not just try cleaning the contacts for the coolant temp sender?

is it the sensor coming off the radiator? withthe green bit on it?
if so then i've took itoffand triedcleaning it, but made no difference

just hope i get that luck mine is at midland vw.
ad nearly 5 weeks drive it on test drive an not since.
engine packed up fitted a aum engine an mechanic said ecu stuffed.
so took to midland for that.
all four bores was scored.
the prat i had of ad made dump valve non recirc the plank.
hopefully get bac tomoz then i,ll service an will be fine.
