My RCA cables some how got trapped and the pins snapped and got stuck in the amp.

anyone know of a way to get the pins out?

Remove stereo from car, remove top of stereo, usually only 2-3 screws then the lid just pops off. CD versions just undo any bolts holding the cd mechanism then remove it up and out but make sure you to disconnect the ribbon before doing so. Then you dhould be able to get to the pin from the back and push back out through the hole.

sorry i read stereo, same thing with amp though, remove the base of it as the amp isnt usually attached to this, just a shell, then you should be able to get to the back of the phono and the same as before. MAKE SURE THE AMP IS DISCONNECTED BEFORE HAND- dont want to shock yourself :p

+1 to that. The RCA sockets that I've worked with in the past are hollow in the middle, and you can usually see the pin sticking through. The socket will be slightly spring loaded to make sure of a good connection, but you should still be able to push it out.

right i've managed to get the broken rca out but now the amp keeps blowing the fuse :s
