Well, went for the test drive this morning, and bloody hell, i thought my old Golf Tdi as quick, but the little FR tdi was superb, Loved the torque.

and in honesty, i love my petrol FR with 230Bhp, but i doubt i'll miss it. Christ knows what the Tdi will be like once remapped. But i genuinely had a large grin on my face all through the test drive. all with an average mpg of 45, and that was caning it. I honesty can't believe are kept getting into the petrol diesel argument, i just think now if 2 yrs ago i had test driven the Diesel i would never have picked the petrol. oh well you learn from mistakes.

So pick it up in 2 weeks and got a good deal, in fact a very good deal, even 12 months tax, full tank, mats and even the aluminium dash inserts like mine.

Car was on the forecourt for £9995 and was mint, not a mark inside apart from the gearknob that had lost paint off it on the top, sort of chipped, but thats being renewed before pick up. Previous owner had done 11000 miles, 54 plate, and he also had it serviced at 5000 mile then 10000 miles and it just had another service at 11600. so 3 oil changes in just over a year.

Heres the pic, couple of cosmetic bits planned for the weekend i pick it up, then brembos and cupra wheels are going on couple of weeks later.

Chuffed to bits, here she is. Oh and please see my other thread for sale items i need to shift this week or so.

P.s tell them to sort them bloody headlights out aswell, mine are getting a pain in the a$re now, might make another trip to the stealers as i forgot to metion it today.

Looks like a winner! And as said above well cared for by the 1st owner!

What plans do you have for it then? Brembo's Cupra alloys and a remap?!

yeah on my way back down the M26 i shot passed another Cupra Mk4 in Grey,

oh dear, looks like bumpers may happen this year now. Although i only saw it for a brief second as i hammered past him at silly speed. I still cant believe you can get 120 in 4th in the 20vt !! probaby get a bit of a pasting tonight too before i strip it on monday:p

Don't forget that if you're getting the Cupra bumpers you're going to have to get a FMIC unless you fancy running around with a fog light out...

are you serious trying to tell me that, i was the first to fit the FMIC and cupra bumper together,

cpu freak just stuck to standard bumpers, so he was first on intercooler, but not both

Nice car.....
