Burning Smell

Triple D has offered his opinion, he may well be correct but then again he has not seen the ****ing clutch !!!

I have had numerous problems with the car and you can't blame me for thinking this is another fault. I mentioned I used clutch control and then get castigated for wearing out the clutch, how the **** do you know I have worn it out and it is not a fault ?

BTW the reverse parking aid has packed in after 2 years and is getting replaced, maybe I should expect the dealer to tell me it is wear and tear as I have been reversing too much !!!!

We'll leave it there, as I said thanks for those who offered advice that's what I came on here for. Maybe some of you can drop me your contact details and I will get you lot to look at it next time !!

Listen mate, I'm not that cross.

I realise nothing said is personal but to mention I used clutch control and smelt a burning smell doesn't necessarily mean the clutch was burning out to wear and tear.
Most people have jumped to conclusions and the advice I was after was to see if anyone had had similar problems which from the responses seem they haven't

So conclusion is it is my driving style and SEAT clutches are tip top and nothing goes wrong with them. If you had seen what had gone wrong with my car (not due to driving style) in 2 years then I think you would be sceptical too.

Sorry mate but if you ride the clutch on hills you are putting excessive strain on the engine, drive train and clutch and somethings got to give and that will 9/10 be the clutch.

Your right clutches should last alot longer than yours has but your driving style has played a big part in its early failure. Just becuase you have had some other issues with your car, you can't blame the clutch failure on the car when you have been riding it. First thing I was taught when I learnt to drive was when sitting at a junction take it out of gear and put on the handbrake.
