Hey, I currently have a leon cupra mk1 with the aura HU. I have a bury take and talk car kit system installed and working fine.

I've just bought a Clarion CZ109ER ( http://www.clarionworld.co.uk/stock/cz109er.asp ).

What i'm wanting to know... is will my car kit work with this HU with respect to cuting out when i take a call and generally working etc...

Thanks

not seen one of the bury kits but from the looks of it on the net it has a mute wire but no mute box to relay the handsfree input so you would need to make sure you connect to the mute input on the clarion unit in order to mute the audio

the clarion if its not a basic model should have a wire coming off the wiring loom that states "ATT"

this is the mute lead, you need to attach the mute from the handsfree to this wire,if it doesnt have it then youll have to turn the radio down/off without it or buy a separate mute relay module

i would say you need the release keys but people have said theyve used cable ties

iso isnt needed provided the clarion allows you to swap the red and yellow wires around on it and an aerial adapter/booster is required

thanks for the tips. I managed to get the old one out with some collar retainers off my work shirt!! perfect fit. plugged cables into the back of the new head unit with a perfect fit. car kit mutes as required.

only thing i'm confused about is why when i pull out my key... does it not switch off?

yeah finally managed it. had to rip the glovebox out to access the bullet connectors to swap it. NOT FUN!

all sorted now i think. Just waiting for the facia adapter to arrive.

one final question. Will i need to remove the cage to fit the facia adapter or does it go over the front??

Thanks very much for all your help. VERY much appreciated.
