Hi guys, my 2017 Cupra DSG fwd developed rather weird buzzing / rattle sound when letting of gas.
Strange thing is that it's completely random, no matter if the car is warm or cold. I can hear the sound only on lower gears or reverse. It's always the same short rattly sound. No rattle when the car is stationary. I've also tried to slightly press gas pedal while holding brake in drive, no rattle.

Example of the sound - I've managed to record it. It can be heard in 2nd and 5th second of the recording.

The car runs fine, no judders, no error codes or weird dsg shifs.

Do you have any tips what it might be?

I can't hear it on the video, too much other noise. Is it a very slight rattle? If it doesn't sound like it's something important I'd be tempted to ignore it.

You neglected to say which direction the rattle comes from. Sometimes it is better to get so someone else to drive the car so that you can localise it more.

Sorry guys, it's coming from the front where the DSG is. I can't pinpoint exact spot since it rattles only sometimes and when the car is moving.

I had a rattle/buzz around the DSG gear lever area, only happened at exactly 1800rpm (weird, above that and it stopped). Turned out to be a connector underneath touching the plastic trim. Bit of fabric tape and it’s never come back
