Calculating Torque?

As above.. How?
Just had my car on a dyno and wanted to know what torque its running, as it doesn't say on the print out !

It would say lbft where it says your bhp

It should be on the read out, most dynos give you a bhp figure and a torque figure in lb/ft

Yea go to a better set of rollers.

Cupramillo...looks like your mani made quite a nice difference at the top end of things.

go to a better dyno mate, but if you got a ko3 turbo i reckon around 220ftlb ish but to find out go on proper dyno, cupramillo i got good results to on my mani etc torque never drops below 200lbft even at 6500rpm

Yeh it feels alot stronger higher in the rev range, LCR fuel pump probably helping out abit aswell.

Decent map on a ko3 you should be seeing at least 225-230ish lb/ft
Agree get it on some other rollers

I was just about to say the same

A dyno works out/reads your torque. The BHP is calculated from there

problem there, is the person/company that did the rollers, thinks BHP is all people care about

As an ex said to me other week, "BHP sells cars, Torque moves them"

Get it a lot around town, people always talking about BHP figures etc (mainly petrol guys that are guilty of this), then neglect to mention torque figures....

There should be a way of caluclating it, since Torque has a direct relationship to BHP & RPM

High BPH and High RPM give low Torque , example V-tech All noise, no Torque

Medium BHP and Low RPM gives High Torque, example PD 170 TDi

rearrange the formula

torque lbft = (bhp x 5252) / rpm
