I know this has been covered before but how much havepeople paid for the two to be changed?
I have just been quoted £466.12 by my local Seat dealers where I got the car from, seems a bit steep to me :(

i had mine done at JKM performance in Portsmouth and for your car it looks like £330 all inc or parts and vat.

http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/service.htm

give them a call, they were great with me and very smooth quick and know their stuff.

they have a forum section too which the girls at reception check regulary too :D

Thanks

£160 for parts (including G12) Thanks to a certain someone! **
£110 for labour (completed by a VAG specialist mechanic :D)

Worth while doing, my old water pump was leaking a bit and i didnt even know, also it was a crummy plastic impellor (sp) one too! now replaced with the metal one.

All about who you know :D

Am I being naive in thinking that the cambelt service should include a standard service of the car?

no...the cambelt service usually consists of a kit: cambelt, timing belt and water pump. On its own will cost roughly £300 as every garage quotes a minimum of 3 hours labour for this service.

a normal service will cover filters, oil and other basics
