Been quoted 275 quid for my cambelt changing at a local garage (usually alright) promptly told them i thought they were taking the pi55 and have rang my usually very friendly garage and they say 150 quid still! i was under the impression a cambelt change was about 100quid maximum, its only 50 quid but its the principle of being ripped off that i mind, just seeing what the general consensus on cambelt prices is before i get pissed off at a usually nice fella, cheers

There's no F in Quality..
Depends on the engine and what needs removing etc to get to the cambelt....

Have you thought about DIY'ing it ?!? ;)

£150 doesn't sound too bad though to be honest.

If you're going to supply the parts, use genuine VW/Seat parts available from your local dealer. They're alot more reliable than other brands, and they're not over pricey either.

£150 sounds resonably cheap. On the LC / LCR there's a fair amount of work that needs to be done to get belt out and £200 seems nearer the mark. Looking forward to having mine done this year as the water pumps due to go

Dunno if TDI's are trickier in any way, but got my cambelt and new tensioner done for whatever the parts cost, but the labour was 50 quid.
