Hi all
Ive taken the badges of the rear of my seat leon 1.8t mk1 and has left
some glue residue and paint marks[:@], can anyone advise me on how/or what to get
to remove these marks:confused: ?
thank you

For the glue residue use AG glue & tar remover or IPA.

If there is paint residue / edging that sounds as if the rear has received paint at some point around the badges. usually the badges would be applied after paint / removed during a respray.

Anyway, drop a few pics up once the glue residue is removed so we can see what your working with

Thanks for the prompt reply,
ive taken the rear badges off and its left some residue and looks as if its taken a layer
of paint off, also im 90% sure that the badges has been left on the car and covered over
and boot lid sprayed ??? Hmmm not good
Ive bought some silver T -cut snd was thinking off having a little go ???
(ill try and get pics on asap as not too sure)

Throw the T-cut in the bin ??
what you recomend i use or can do...
cheers

If there is a visible layer difference between the paint under the badges and whats on the surrounding area then the only way to level that off is wet sanding (which i wouldnt recommend if you have never tried before) or filling in whats lower with paint... again, pretty drastic sounding.

You could polish the whole area to try and minimise the effects but its not going to get it perfect.

Only other option would be to replace the badges i'm afraid.
