CAN: Not ready problem

I just bought a VAG 908 Cable using VCDS Beta 912:0 software.

I have a 2007 FR which I was informed is CAN.

I can't get the softare to work though.

Anyone able to help?

Have you tried version 10.6? All interfaces compatible with 908 can be updated.

I'm not sure if that version will work with the cable I got, it wasn't from Ross-tech...

I installed it and now comes up with that interface found but status is not plugged in to the car when it is!

The other thing is the light on the Hex cable thing is green, but when I plug into a USB it turns Orange?

Bizarrely it seems to be working now.

Now just have to learn the basics
