can starter motors be repaired??

hi all just a quick question, my starter motor on my Cupra has only just started to stick and sometimes won't start, my question is can these motors be stripped down and cleaned/repaired??, I'm thinking they can be because there is a sur-charge on new motor

yes they can mate, works out way cheaper usually

cheers mate I've just been offered one for very good money, do mite pick that up and clean mine up so I have a spare
