Can't remove aerial

I have a cordoba 1999 1.6 . and the other day I wanted to wash my car in the car wash , and I could not take out the antenn from the sockle , I only can unscrew it and put it flat , but I could not take out . any idear if its normal´?

ive got a 1998 Cordy and when i replced thre Antenna on mine for a shorter one it was a pain to remove.. it did unscrew out but was kind of attached - i just had to use brute force to remove- turned out that the thread on the antenna itself was buggered.

Ive had this problem in the past, eventually the mast came off but left behind a threaded base. This was just big enough to soak in WD40 and get the molegrips onto.
