I coppied this from my to do list for the year. It's now July and I've finally struck the first thing off the list:D

1.Replace cambelt and four tyres Falken452's
2.Sort dodgy laqure peel
3.Get my coilovers

...at a push I may manage new drivers and passanger seat aswell, but there is talk of a holiday to germany

Tyres
I replaced the P-Zero Rosso's with the Falken 452's a while ago now. It has to be said the Falkens are amaizing value for money. For £30-£40 the cheaper they are great. They are a far supirior tyre in the wet than the Rosso's aswell. BUT... I do miss the Pirelli's, I feel they gave much better feel in the dry and were genrally grippier aswell as quieter. I quickly came to the conclusion that there is no point in having a capable car like the LCR and then taking it's full potential away for the sake of saving £30 a tyre:shrug:
In future I'm going to go for good tyres as I'm using the car alot less now so wear isn't a big issue, and after seeing the margin that you can ruin a car by with tyres, I'd like to think the same margin applies to improving a car through tyres.

Cambelt
Right I'm just putting this in here as proof that I've had it done really. A good friend of mine did it so I only have these pics and my receipt for parts as proof it's been done.
So... my car was 4yrs old in January, hence it was cambelt time. It has only done 37K so I was doing it on the time basis really. I got a shock though... I couldn't beleive how much slack there was in the belt for a car with only 37K on the clock. The old water pump was totally fine. (Its usually the other way found from what I've heard)

Some pic's...

The old belt before work...

The engine felt much smoother and raspier afterward's and I now have peice of mind. Managed to get all the bit's for £142 in the end as well:D

Next Job is brake fluid change and a calliper re-furb.

I probably won't go back to P-Zero's. I don't mind them, but I fancy something a bit sticky. Probably gona go for Parada Spec 2's or some other variant. Toyo's would be nice but I don't know if that's a realistic option for the road, however little milage I might do.

It's a shame Andy I know:( Nick is selling his though as he wants a more nimble track toy.

Thanks for the comments guys... I think:confused:

Gonzo... Some one will get themselves an outstanding car mate, I even wonder if I'm selling it too cheap but it's priced to sell as they say. I'm gona ask the buyer to give me first refusal if they look after it, I'd love it back one day:love:

Just thought i'd post this in here from the "2010 modifications" thread to motivate myself for the year. Be nice to look back at the end of the year if i accomplish these...

For me I will definitely...

1.Replace cam-belt and four tyres Falken 452's
2.Sort dodgy lacquer peel
3.Get my coil-overs

...at a push i may manage new drivers and passenger seat as well, but there is talk of a holiday to Germany

Just realised... I haven't updated this.

The dodgy Lacquer peel got sorted. Although I won't be taking the car any further now as it's up for sale. I should also mention the Brake fluid has been changed about 2 weeks ago to AP Racing DOT 5.1 stuff.:)

Might end up keeping the old girl at this rate now:think: It appears people just don't have the money to spend at the moment.

Not such a bad thing! Although it does put the business plan back a bit now. Again might not be a bad thing as the economy sounds like it's gona get worse:wtf:

Yeah that's it mate sold her. I wanted to get used to not having her before I mentioned it to anyone, I guess the cat's out of the bag now. Didn't get anything like what I wanted for her either but it felt like the longer I had it the less I was gona get so I decieded to take a bit of a hit. I'm after a Vauxhall Combo van now if you know of any lol.

Cheers John, It was a fantastic car. I'm sure the guy's gona treat it well and he's got my number when he comes to sell so I may have it back one day if I have the cash. I keep telling myself you have to go back to go forward sometimes, so I'm looking on the bright side;)
