Car Dead?!

Hi all,
Right, went to my car today, pressed unlock on my key fob, no joy. Hmmm no alarm LED flashing in the car either... Manually got into the car, went to start the car, no dash board lights, no radio, NADA! - Can someone tell me why? My guess is the immobiliser, but why would it of done this and how do i rectify this problem as i currently have a car that wont even start!!!

i presume there was not lights on once you got power connected? if not it may be worth getting the battery checked out.
