Car hard to restart when the engine has warmed up

Hi guys

Mt Exeo 2010 TDi CR170 has been playing up in the last few months. 8 times out of 10 times the engine will not restart for at least 3 - 4 attempts when the engine is warm. The coil lamp is flashing but with some persistence, it will eventually start. When it is being driven, it is silky smooth with no issues and no lights on the dash. Starts every time when engine is cold.

Anyone got any ideas of what could be causing this?

If its warm the glow plugs shouldn't come into play. In fact they are probably not necessary at all in this weather!

As said above, possibly a fuel leak that's allowing the fuel from the lines to evaporate or leak back when it's warm

Thanks for the information, I have been bust but will take it to the garage and get it checked.
