Recently had the same thing happen to me. turned out to be the ignition switch. cost me about £115 to have repaired at my local seat garage.

I think its behind the steering wheel. when you try to start the engine does the starter motor make any noise? if not its most likely the ignition switch

you could pop the bonnet, and put some extra 12v supply onto the starter motor and see if it turns, if so then something else is wrong

Mine has just stopped working properly, bump started it and it runs fine but then stop the car and turn the ignition back on and again all lights, ac, radio etc come on but nothing from the starter motor/ignition.
Is there stuff I can try before forking out £100 for a new starter motor?

I had same problem - was able to push start -

got power to the starter as Flashbsd advises and it turns which lead me to ignition switch - cost about £15 if i remember correctly - but a pain in the arse to get to - i even took a picture of it when everything was off -

Ive got the AA coming round, After bump starting it i drove it for about half an hour and then parked up and tried it again and nothing at all. Its so weird theres nothing at all like the battery is completely dead, no chugging like its on its way out. Could be this ignition switch, hopefully the AA will know.
