Thanks for all the replies, @JACUPRA280 love it mate looks good, you did a good job, be nice to see some of the photos you have.
things like this put me off though just cba with the hassle, anyway you don’t have any service history do you it’s all gone walk about since you had her, just got the seat print out.
I’ve got camera’s going up tomorrow front back and sides went with the ring floodlight cameras, i’ll Have to address the locks, but then that just makes me think they’ll aim for windows next time, i’ll Have to tackle them next too.
Trackers ... I’m not fussed about them, what’s the point? if they take it id rather not get it back anyway
Anyone use the posts on the drive? Seen some remote operated ones are they a big job to install?
That’s a shame, everything’s goneThe service book was provided to VW when I sold it to them. Full main dealership history, and quite a bit of warranty paperwork also. It probably went missing when the car was stolen (see Facebook photos). Is that not you that had it stolen? If not that person probably sold it afterwards and you bought it. Did you know the car was previously stolen and recovered?
That’s a shame, everything’s gone
Unfortunately, No mate it wasn’t me and yes previous owner had told me even though it didn’t show up on the hpi report, they got it back a day or 2 later not far away apparently
I've gone for the good old fashioned steering wheel lock. Its more for when I leave the car at the train station as I'd rather they just take the car then have them come into the house looking for the keys.
There’s footage doing the rounds of scum eyeing up an RS6 - right up to the point where they see a Disklok on it and bugger off. Crims don’t want any hassle so useit at home too.
I'm tempted by the disklok. But worried it'll scratch the gloss black plastic parts of the steering wheel.
You can get an elasticated cover that goes underneath it mate. Use one on my Golf R and it’s fine.
Is that something you buy separate?
Yes - a Disklok one is about £30. You can get it all off Amazon.
