Hi all im thinking about trying to give my car a respray and have seen it doen but not done it and thinking with the right equipment it surely cant be that hard??

I'd remove the bumpers, side skirts, spoiler and indicators, lights etc etc.

Now what is roughly involved in doing this and how much would i be looking at if i brought the kit for it as im really wanting to do it myself. I would be keeping the colour artic silver so its less hassle!!

cheers all

lol Agreed ... unless you've got a nice clean ( make that surgically clean) environment you'll never get a finish that you'll love.

I did my old metro years ago with halfrauds spray tins, the original paint was so shockingly bad that i couldn't fail to make an improvement. I don't think the Leon falls into the same category!

i wasnt talking about spray cans proper spray gun and generator etc to make it a good job as for cleaniness i'd be getting a gazebo type of thing with 4 walls and make it nice and clean inside etc

dont do it rob is a complete ass of a job and also they've changed from solvent to water based paints now!

but motorsport paint jobs won't be up to the standard you want..... after all - it'll only need to last a weekend
