just thinking about mpg, now you mention it, ever since the starting problems occured my mpg had dropped from the high 30's to the low 30's/high 20's.

I think I may have it sussed now! since sealing that little vacuum pipe up with tape it has so far started up perfectly. i'm going to try and repair it with JB weld or similar liquid metal and see how it gets on.
