I got an over the air update a few weeks ago, and now my carpay on waze, apple maps / google maps occasionally goes pink pixelated and very laggy. Anyone seen this before? It's going into the garage tomorrow for a couple of things looking at, so we'll see what they say.
I've already tried all this, after a reboot, the problem sometimes reappears within minutes. By separating work and private I have 2 iPhones and the problem manifests itself with both devices.
I had the same issue on my Cupra Leon; I didn't have any issues with carplay and waze until an OTA update happened and it started. When the car went in for it's service mentioned it to the dealer and they advised that it's actually waze at fault and not the unit.
Car then went in for the SOS functionality work; and whatever update they applied to the system appears to have resolved my issues; haven't had any issues since.
I think thats the buck passing as to where the issue is that we have heard of before. Clearly in the car (mib3 issue) but the interface on how it throws up the Car Play screen.

Buck passing. You wouldn't really expect your dealer to be an expert on software outside VAG. What it is they target a firmware release in the phone and if you haven't got it, it doesn't work, but nobody tells you that.

The documentation probably did or they corrected the coding in the car. You are saying that the update fixed it in the phone which means they programmed it for that update or the phones update cleared settings which made it work.
They will have been working with the interface documentation way ahead of it being rolled out. Keep your hair on.
Either way those graphics are images of a program running outside of where it should be. E.g. a programming error in the car or phone.
I actually said different may i point out, mib3 doesn't integrate with CarPlay at all... All it does is mirror whatever Apple tells it to, so it could never have been a MiB3 problem.
