i worked for VW for a while, if you were being honest with yourself do you think all of that gets checked on a standard service??? remember they work on bonus schemes the quicker the vehicle is in and out the more money they get :ban:

the list you put up of what they do for the 119 looks very nice. However reality tells us that things aren't always what they seem.

In front of almost every aspect you listed it says check, meaning that it will not be replaced. All replacement parts will be charged extra.

furthermore, 'checking' doesn't really have any meaning at all, and you'll have to take their word that its actually getting done.

I work on many cars, and have noticed that the lists dealers put in the service books are often far from the truth.

I am not saying that thats definately the case here or that its expensive, but just be careful

btw, why aren't the changing the airfilter and fuel filter?

yeah in the LINK that i have posted i got the same response. that its all checking. hense why i called them and told them i dont want the service. going to get my mate to change the filters for me and leave it at that i think. got the cambelt booked in for friday. that £80 is not from a seat dealer i take it

no its from a local garage but known the guy for years. at 80 quid you cant grumble. id do the service myself but like to get the brakes and steering checked over as i do alot of town driving.
