castrol gtd 5w 40 vw505 00

anyone know if this is suitable for a 150. the book at the factors says yes, all info on here says no( 505 01)

help please as the all the millers stockists are out of stock

nope its no use , itll cause wear at the camshaft, castrol edge do a fully synthetic 505 01 oil, (thats wat im on )

just looked at the website, it has a replacement for the longlife 2 oil but its only rated at 504.00 and 507.00, wondering if its an error on the website or they forgot to include the 01 bit on the website

I think 504 and 507 are going to be the new versions that supercede the others....

so 505 01 is now 504 and 506 01 (longlife) is now 507

or are these new oil grades for the newer piezo PDs

yeah but they end in 00. the castrol edge 505.01 is for normal servicing not longlife

I just got back from Scotland, but couldn't find any pump along the motorway that stocked 505.01. It was only when i got to the BP round the corner that, i was able to get it.
