Do you mean the brackets supplied with the changer don't fit to the changer? 
If so I'd go back to the place you bought it and ask for the proper brackets!
No point paying twice for the same thing.

there are no pre drilled holes in the boot.
i have fitted a sony 6 cd - mp3 in the boot of my ibiza, and i basically drilled in the the side of the boot and mounted it that way. i just weather sealed in the holes before i permenantly fitted it.

no the brackets supplied are supposed to be universal but the holes on the left side of the boot are not compatible with these brackets. i either have to drill other holes!!!!! or i think i can get a bracket from seat that fixes the changer to the sides.
the holes in my boot are next to the changer cable about 6 inches off the floor!
im confused i thought i would be able to just plug and play, but i cant un til the changer is securely fixed.

as i said mate. the holes in the side of the boot are not where the cd changer fits on to. when i installed my CD changer i phoned up seat dealers and all they do when they fit a cd changer is the screw self tappers in to the left side of the boot.
basically fit the best brackets on the cd changer that gives you the best coverage of area without being too big, then make sure you can attatch atleast 1 screw each end then screw it down

Why not consider using heavy duty Velcro to fix the changer in place without the brackets?
I used it in the boot of my car and it works a treat!
Also means that you don't have to drill the car and the changer can be easily removed if you need to get a washing machine in the boot.

on my cd changer, i only used 1 screw each end of the changer. both at the top of the brackets. this enables the cd changer to sit flush with the boot floor and face up. easy to access and out the way

Just make sure you get the heavy duty stuff.
