Central locking mystery

Hi Ladies and Gents

Recently when I use the keyfob to remotelly unlock the car it will only unlock the drivers door after two button presses. Usually this would unlockk all the doors as it should. Does this sound like the battery might be getting low in the key and needs changing. The doors will unlock using the button on the drivers door. I also never noticed before but there is a slight chirp noise (bearly noticable) when I lock it aswell. Is this common as I am sure I never heard it before. I have done a search but nothing described similar fault to mine.

Hi there,

new to this board, and am experiencing exactly the same problem as this on my Leon Mk 1.

Have also done a search and lots of central locking threads but no answers to this problem. The car started doing this after I left the lights on all night (yes I know, I am an idiot ) and the battery went flat.

any suggestions appreciated as above....

easy just disconnect the battery for 10 mins and then leave the key in the ignition not fulkly turned and it should be working again.
