Central locking using key manually not working, sets alarm of when starting car.HELP!

Hi,

My seat leon key fob has stopped working wirelessly (even though it shows charge) when i unlock the drivers door it no longer does central locking, it only unlocks my door.

When I start the engine the alarm then goes off. I've also tried turning on the electrics and manually using the center console, but usually the alarm will still go off.

When locking manually it still activates central locking..

Please help!

Thanks,

Is it defintely the door lock if I can still open it manually?
Something wrong with the electrics then?

Okay, looks like i'll have to take the door apart then..

Lastly can I turn off the car alarm so I can drive it until I take the door apart?
Is there a button somewhere in the car?

Thank you!

Also is it possible it could be something else that is causing the issue?
Previously the car would open fine since I picked it up from a dealer on saturday, he paired the key fob so everything worked fine. Since the remote key fob stopped respoding (even though the light on the fob lights up) unlocking the car has meant that usually only the drivers door now unlocks manually.

The drivers door only unlocks itself at the moment, previously it was doing all doors but now only the drivers.

Rang the garage where I got the car, they recommended disconnecting the battery and then turning the key left then right in the drivers door

A trick is to connect the battery terminal together remove from the battery first ;) (you need the radio code) and that discharges the electrics, sometimes help.
Not heard about turning the key before.
Is it under warranty?

I've got a 3 month warranty from the dealership

Just getting my facts right, so you're saying the door lock is the issue which is why the key fob is going out of sync and that's also why the central locking is failing sometimes (car also doesn't recognise door is open sometimes too).

So If I get a garage to put a new door lock system in this should solve the issue?

Thanks again

As a temp fix - try removing fuse F14, which'll de-activate the alarm, and the windows/mirrors/interior lights, but the central locking and immobiliser should function OK via the key/door lock.

The garage booked the car in at a seat dealership. They also think its the drivers lock that is probably the issue with the pairing not staying synced.

Is is what I'm after?

When unlocking the drivers door try holding the key to the unlock/lock position what maybe either to the right or left, used to unlock all doors on my beeza.

I got a whole new drivers lock put on the drivers door and battery for the key fob, which solved everything for 2 hours.
When I got home, the remote locking has stopped working again, also when i unlock the car door using the key, the red flashing light doesn't stop until start the engine...

I'm worried I might get alarm issues here..

Interior light doesnt work, but windows, mirrors etc still work..

Any suggestions?

Getting a new lock fitted seems to of fixed it, interior light and remote keyfob sometimes don't work, but apart from that seems okay
