Central Locking Wont work?

Hi Guys

Just a quick one - any of you had this or have any idea what it may be, my central locking wont work via the key thob, i replaced the 2 batteries to make sure and the little red light on the key still flashes when you push the button but ever since i have had the car ( month or 2 now) its never worked. The button inside the car works fine for unlocking and locking the doors etc just not the key thob??

Any suggestions would be great

hi mate

thanks alot for the help i did try it and it the sequence worked but still not on the car so im thinking must be the thob but i think they are about £150 or so to re do so may get another alarm from ebay or something...

seen a really ncie one for £30 with remote start and fitting is £100 so may do that and get remote start aswell.

remotes for the key are about £35 and using the info above you can code it yaself

search the mk3 section for 'central / locking / remote' you'll see the same thread come up weekly

ill have a look mate bu ti did say i did all the above and it still does not work with the car so i am guessing its something nackered inside the car..
