central locking

my centrallocking has stopped working it went haywire last weeking lockin/uinlocking uncontrollably

any idea what it could be?

something mechanical is jammed and the system can't close on completion

probably a dodgy door lock or the passenger not closed properly

it used to lock then unlock then lock again now it dont look atall via the key fob have to look the doors manually at least the alarm still goes on though lol

Hello Again.... Try Reseting your car Fob, Or Taking it to Seat.

i have a similar problem...or better...a worse problem...my central lock doesn't even work, i tested the motor and it works perfectly even the other mechanical parts work....

the central lock does open correctly but it doesn't close so i have to close it manually each time...do you have any schematics of the circuit diagram...seat ibiza 1994

it will be pneumatic so there isn't really a schematic available as such

the motor may work but it's pressure sensitive

easiest way i have found to test them is dosconnecting all the hoses and operating the motor both lock/unlock and in doing so it will run for a while until you blobk the pipe off that way you know as a base line it's ok

add each pipe in turn to test each supply line and i think if you have a search i worked out the colours to what lock etc but ill look and see (found it)

from the junction in the OSR 1/4 (behind the rear lamp)

red is fuel flap solenoid (common to leak)
blue is doors
black is boot lock
green is supply from motor to junction pipe

pop em off one by one and test by suck/blow down em doesn't take much pressure to make em work and a scrap bit of washer pipe or fuel hose is handy unless you can squeeze a small childs head in the corner as i had no pipe to hand

any one of those seals split/broke or incorrectly working and the motor will go all day doing nothing

so you think that all the electronics are still alright and the problem is from the outputs i.e the hoses from the air pump?
