hey guys,

looking to remove the tape player and put a cd playing there. as im sure iv seen it done before

i know this requires some cutting and soldering skills, anyone got a how too or know anyone who does this to a decent standard.

didnt really find anything in the search.

i done mine cut the old tape player out! lot of work

yer mine is in the air vent at the mo but i decided that i wud like to have the option of airvents again. when you replace the tape deck with the cd player wot happens to the program button, as im guessing you have to cut that out too? does it mean u can never re program the date and time again?

I did mine,

have the facia for it actually, reverted back to original. removed the cassette part of the radio, fitted a ck600 nikia handsfreein there and had an AD2P bluetooth link to my iPod and android phone now for my music and use the standard radio, all through an alpine amp in the boot.

your aerial willset the date on the standard headunit just tune into radio 1 it will automatically reset it's self after a while. bought ibizalex's converted headunit now running a pioneer avh-p5700 dvd unit
