centre section

hi guys would having a smaler centre section than normal alter the performance of the car?

reason being i bought a centre section and it was smaller than the standard pipe so need to know whether it ok or if i need to get a new one

If you're talking about the exhaust then it depends on what engine you have - petrol or diesel and turbo or n/a

it the fr tdi mate thanks for help guys wanna get it sorted by pod next week end if it does affect it thanks

If you get a smaller centre section on a turbo'd car, it means the gases can't get out as quickly after they have passed through the turbo. So the turbo will take longer to spool up and for full boost to kick in.
