I've got one on the A3 - I think only twice has it actually been in the right place to block out the sun when it's been between the normal visors - a nice idea but not much use in reality IMO!

It's small, but brilliantly effective! Clarkson said about the Bora fitted with it (i think) that the car was worth £20k just for that..

They were discontinued circa 2004/05 - I'm guessing yours dates from before this?

I have seen on one forum a mod to this sun visor with a 1mm thick piece of carbon fibre.

Made the centre sun visor big enough to bridge the gap between the main sun visors and it was deeper than the standard one.

looked really trick.
