chair problem!!

Ive got a stupid problem!!

My drivers chair makes a sort of clicking noise! its when i pull off or stop so obviously there is something loose or something broke! has anyone else had this problem and how can i fix it? cuz its drivin me crazy!!

its the passenger side for me, and always when my mrs. is sat there (i.e when the chair is under load)

im sorry to hear you have the same problem but quite glad im not the only one!

think im gonna try and take the seat out and just try and tighten everything, i dont think this will work tho , i dont know about yours but mine sounds like its in the middle of the seat if that makes sense, have you tried to sort it yet?

I have the same problem mate, it's really annoying so i just turn up the music, lol.

if your seats are like mine theres only 2 bolts holding it on at the front, check their nice and tight and wheels are sitting in the gutters.

I had this issue on a different car, even tightening things up didn't resolve it. The issue was down to the frame of the seat, a weld had broken and it was clicking when the weight changed (i.e. accelerating / braking). My dad had the same in his car and he was going to take the apart and re-weld it but couldn't be arsed in the end. Lived with it for years.

This is a common problem, i had my seat out a few times but could never find a problem? i ended up getting a nice set of MK4 golf recaros, problem solved!!

I know I know I know... it didnt mean to read that way. She's as light as a feather!

My mate from work has been in and it didnt do it a all and he's large.. so it's like he weighed the seat down so much the seat didnt move

yeap i thought i was the only one with this, thought i've got a bad seat here! mine stopped for about 3 months, then last week the click appeared again. Have no idea what it is, just becomes a common click after a month lol.
