Change head unit in 2004 Leon Cupra R

Hi

I have the standard SEAT Head unit with autochanger, I was wondering what the best head unit to replace it with is. I need a head unit that will operate the existing 6 cd autochanger if possible.

Also, would I need any adapters/bezels to fit another head unit? (Not sure if the standard SEAT one is the normal size)

Many Thanks

No aftermarket headunit will run with the auto changer mate sorry, I was looking to do this too until recently.

If you lose the SEAT headunit, you lose the disc changer I'm afraid.

You do need some adapters for the facia, 2 little plastic bits that go either side of headunit as SEAT one is wider the normal din.

Not sure where to get these yet, i also would like to know

Thanks Darth mate,

i know the Leon door speakers are 17cm but the speakers I like are 16.5 cm, would they cause a big problem trying to fit??

Erm, dunno mate

If your running off the headunit something like these would be fine: http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/51.html (I like Pioneer) Had something similar in previous motors

By chance I actually ended up with these or a pair that were very similar: http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/1200.html as the Pioneers were always on back order. Personally I think they're actually too good to run of the headunit as it can't really drive them  . I've got a lovely 4 channel amp at home but no-where in the LCR to mount it  as I'm not prepared to sacruifice the boot space or mount it on the back of the seat

Both speakers above are 17cm I think so don't think there were problems fitting them (I didn't do it myself ;) ). I also had some soundproofing chucked in the doors as it rattles like a biatch with better speakers :help:

On the speaker size PM ice cavern on here as he seems to know his stuff or check out his ICE site (see his sig)
