Changer Connection to Standard HU

Lads - am buying a changer cable to connect my HU and changer - was wondering if I needed to disconnect the power supply to the HU to fit the cable for the changer.

Other thing is - how do I put my radio code in if I have to do this.

You shouldn't need to disconnect the power if its all switched off. As long as the car is prewired just plug the changer in.

Am going to have to take the HU out of the cradle to fit the changer lead. So should this be a problem?

As long as you don`t disconnect the plug at the back of the HU prior to fitting the changer lead, you shouldn`t lose the constant power supply and therefore shouldn`t have to either re-program radio stations or enter the code. I can`t remember offhand how to enter the code, but I know i`ve got the manual somewhere if you need to know.
