Hello everybody, i would like some advice, i have a TOLEDO v5 at the moment, i would like to convert to 150 tdi from a toledo tdi.

If i took the engine and engine wiring loom+ECU from the toledo, would the ecu plug into the original loom that controlls the inside etc.

So if i bolted the tdi into the v5 along with the tdi loom and tdi ecu and remove the v5 engine, engine loom and ecu and replaced it with the tdi one.

would this work? i would be decoding the ecu so no imobilizer problems....

any help would be great

cheers

don't forget the fuel tank, fuel lines etc. plus different exhaust. what about the gearbox? the tdi has different ratios!

yes i know buddy that all of the above need to be sorted, im more concernd with the electrical side of things,

i seen a golf mk4 before that the chap changed the 1.4 engine for a 1.8t and all he done was decode the ecu and then plugd the interior side of the wiring loom straight into the 1.8t ecu.

was wondering if the tdi would be similar...

anyone

you'll plug your engine loom into the fuse box, and it'll power just fine - though you will need to check some of the wiring etc
