I've had a quick look in the dark and it looks like it just yanks out, can anyone confirm this before I give it a go? I don't want to end up breaking it and needing a new arm.

when I did mine I'm pretty certain it just clips off - but be careful as it isn't the best design - my last one broke and I needed a new arm at a cost of £30...
Ok, thanks for that. I certainly don't want the cost of a new arm. I'll have to have a better and patient look at the weekend now.
Looks like you need a small hub puller. Here are the instructions :
Activate rear window wiper to situate it in park position.
– Disconnect battery
– Raise cowling of rear window wiper and detach.
– Loosen hexagonal bolt, but do not remove completely.
– Apply tool T20177
– Raise wiper arm and separate from cone using lateral movements.
– Unscrew hexagonal bolt and remove wiper arm.
