Changing Suspension. Which Tools?

Can anyone tell me which tools are required for changing the suspension on an FR Leon 2.0TDi?

You'd need a spring compressor and all the usual tools (sockets, screwdrivers etc).

if you dont know what tools you require for the job then mabey its best if you take to a garage.

Sorry guys, should have been more specific, when i said which tools i meant as in sizes of spanners. I have changed suspension many times on different cars. Just unsure of sizes on the leon.

Rear suspension is a breeze.

Front is a little more work. Just get a range of usual spanners/sockets. You will also need a splined socket & hub splitter to get the shocker off the hub.

I think you need two spring compressors, depends how heavy duty the one(s) you have are.
Trial and error, just look at the bolt/nut sizes etc and see which fits

Dont forget a bloody big hammer! Really had to whack the hub carriers to release the front shocks!

thats why you have a Strut spredder tool.

it also depends on if your doing just the springs or dampers too. David, ask Stevie... you can remove springs without detaching the hub/damper
