i order a new knob from my dealer so please if any 1 knows how to remove it

Pull on the plastic surround with a trim removal tool, pull it inside out and then cut the clip off. Knob should pull off...

how do u remove the whole surround thingy? ive had a quick look but thats as fas as it got

i kind of guessed thats what u meant there seems to be a few clips inside the leather that u push outwards but i dont know anything else or how to do it

you probably could do that if u wanted to but im not going to do that to a brand new car

First you need to remove the silver trim, i used a credit card to slide it up and out. Once thats off you need to release some clips, if you press down on the gaiter you should feel them, press them outwards and the gaiter should pull up.
